LEVEL 4 / POST 3: MOVIES (BEST MOVIE/BEST DIRECTOR/BEST GENRE).

When I was a child, one of my biggest nightmares was Chucky, the devil doll, in fact, it is the reason why it took me so long to sleep alone in my room. Who would have thought that years later they would become one of my favorite movies. I really like the horror genre. I love "It", "The Exorcist", "The Conjuring", the movies about the Stephen King books, etc. My dad likes them a lot too so we usually watch them together.

Although horror is a genre that I really like, my favorite movie is of a totally opposite genre. It is a national film called "Mala Junta", by the director Claudia Huaquimilla. I like much more to see real situations that happen around us every day. The film is about a boy who is sent to live with his father who has been absent all his childhood. This is the only option he has to avoid being admitted to Sename. This boy befriends a Mapuche boy who is bullied by his classmates.

It is a very sad reality that happens in our country, but I consider that it is a great contribution to make these situations visible in films that are later seen by many people to rethink the prejudices that we have as a society.
